In New York City, there are community heroes around every corner—profound tales of people who are tackling contemporary challenges with innovative solutions and a shared spirit that thrives on connection, resilience, and the joy of giving back. Community Hero is a public art project that celebrates these everyday New Yorkers, neighborhood by neighborhood.
During each home game this season, Alfa Insurance will select one Community Hero who will receive four tickets to the game and in-game recognition at Troy Athletics games. Nominees must not have received a Community Hero honor before to be selected.
Commodore Barry Park and Fort Greene Park are again honored to host Community Heroes, a public art project that recognizes the work of local heroes in our neighborhoods. In addition to the banners displayed in Commodore Barry and Fort Greene Park, these local leaders will be invited to meet and greets at the parks with friends and family members.
